I thought it would be good to create a reasonably quiet, uncluttered, noise-free space for poems.
The thing about writing a blog is that it’s often tempting to add images, widgets, links and all sorts of stuff to make your site more interesting to visit. But poems, in my opinion, really don’t enjoy too much of that razzamatazz. What poems love is to be able to breathe.
So I’ve made a separate poetry blog called ‘And Other Poems’.
At first I thought I’d just use ‘And Other Poems’ for my own poems, posting ones that have already been accepted for publication somewhere. However I quickly realised that I haven’t published enough work yet to be able to make this interesting for readers.
So I’m going to feature other poems by other writers, of varying degrees of poetry fame. All poems included will, mostly, already be published somewhere and will have been chosen by the writer and included with their permission.
I won’t be able to post a different poem every day but I will aim to post several different poems each week. And I will try to keep everything simple.
Do have a visit and see what you think. www.andotherpoems.wordpress.com
Thanks for having me!

Tania, the pleasure is mine! I’m so pleased to be able to include a well-known fiction writer on my poetry blog. I enjoy writing in different genres myself and I hope you inspire others to step outside their comfort zone.
