FREE WRITING WORKSHOPS
(POETRY AND SHORT FICTION)

You are invited to join writer Josephine Corcoran in these enjoyable workshops.
In a supportive, friendly environment you will:
• read and discuss a variety of poems and short stories to inspire your own work.
• be guided by Josephine in a series of fun, sometimes challenging, and stimulating writing exercises.
The emphasis will always be on enjoyment and no-one should feel overly challenged or under pressure. The sessions are free (funded by the Big Lottery Fund’s ReadWrite South West project).

Today was the last of five enjoyable WordWeaver sessions. I will be in touch with news of more classes later in the year. In the meantime, some website details you might find useful:
Writing workshops (mostly free of charge) at Trowbridge and Warminster Libraries – part of the ReadWrite South West project.
Bluegate Poets, Swindon – a lively group of writers with regular poetry and open-mic events and many interesting workshops.
Words & Ears, Bradford-on-Avon – regular poetry and open-mic event in Bradford.
Carrie Etter’s website – Poet and critic Carrie Etter is a senior lecturer in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University. She posts interesting articles and poems on her blog where you will also find details of her workshops.
