Staring at Earth

We stood to stare at our planet
Some of us knelt, offered up our phones
Children said they wanted to go home

Words and photos by Josephine Corcoran from an art installation by Luke Jerram, Gaia – The Earth at Wills Memorial Building, Bristol.

  1. Thank you Josephine, this is beautiful. Every home should have – a smaller – one so we’re reminded on a daily basis of the Earth’s beauty and what we’re walking upon. Perhaps we will fully wake up and become the caretakers we are meant to be if it’s not too late. I remember the impact the photograph of the Earth from space had on my family at the time. It changed things. I hope this installation changes things too. Thanks again.
