2019 Readings and events
Poetry at Drawing Projects, Trowbridge: Artist and Performance Poet Birdspeed is coming to read on Saturday, November 2 (2-4pm). Plus open-mic. More details about the event here and read more about Trowbridge Stanza, a monthly poetry group I organise, here.
Many thanks to Devizes Arts Festival for the invitation to read at The Vaults Microbrewery and Alehouse on June 16th. This was a free event for the festival fringe. There was a wonderful audience and excellent poems at the open-mic.
I had a brilliant time as a student on the Linklater Method Voice Coaching Residential Workshop (funded by Ledbury Poetry Festival), May 13 – 16 and being in the audience at Sheaf Poetry Festival, May 17 – 19.
Congratulations and thanks to Lucy English and Danny Pandolfi, co-directors of Lyra Bristol Poetry Festival, and Tom Sastry, Poet in Residence, for an inspiring and hugely enjoyable festival in Bristol, 20th – 24th March. I was honoured to take part in a discussion panel about Page and Spoken Word Poetry and I loved being in the audience for lots of other events. I’m already looking forward to next year.
Thank you to HappenStance poet Stephen Payne for asking me to read with him in Bath for Poetry and a Pint on March 20. It was a small but extremely lovely audience.
I had a terrific time reading at Penarth Acoustic Club on Friday, 15 March.
In 2018 I read at the Poetry Café in Frome; the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire; Ledbury Poetry Festival; Vanguard Reading Series, Peckham; Drawing Projects UK, Trowbridge; The Poetry Café, London; Words & Ears, Bradford on Avon; Uncut Poets, Exeter; Swindon Poetry Festival, That’s What She Said, Bristol, and at the wonderful Poetry in Aldeburgh Festival.
Thank you to everyone who invited me to read this year, and to everyone who was in the audience. I couldn’t have wished for more welcoming, listening audiences or for kinder festival and reading organisers.
