Richard Price’s poem, first published at And Other Poems, commended in the Forward Prizes

I’m delighted that one of the poems first published at And Other Poems, the online site I edit, has been highly commended in this year’s Forward Prize for Best Single Poem and published in their annual anthology. The poem is ‘Personality Test with Worked Examples’ by Richard Price and can be viewed at And Other Poems here.

Richard describes his poem as “a mash-up of Myers-Briggs, Horoscopes, & Father-and-Son Stuff”. It appealed to me when it landed in my inbox during the last open submissions window at AOP, and I’m so pleased that the poem will be published in print and given a wider audience.

This is the third time that a poem I’ve sent in to the Forward Prizes judges has been commended in the competition – it’s always lovely to relay the good news to the poet!
